Heroes – Not a whole lot going on (jus kiddin). 2 Mexican heroes appear to play a more and more important role in this series. Maya can project a virus by crying black tears that can kill and Alejandro’s able to bring ppl back Maya’s victims. The main good dude Peter rediscovers his powers and helps a thug group rob a security van in exchange for his personal belongings. Some British chick seems to take a liking to him. Meanwhile back in the feudal era in Japan, Hiro’s samurai hero, Kensei, discovers he has amazing healing powers just like Claire (Hayden Panaterierrasaurus). The whole flying kid scene is kinda lame. Reminds me of that super duper lame Superman Returns movie. But the kid tells Claire of the “horn-rimmed guy” being a bad person etc who happens to be Claire’s dad. Sylar kills some chick who can create illusions only to find out he’s unable to steal her powers. We see a little bit of everything which unfortunately takes this show at a crawl’s pace but it’s still interesting.

Score: 4/5

Chuck – Unlike the high flying intense drama and action packed Heroes, Chuck hasn’t really gotten any better or any worse since the first episode. Ok. Maybe slightly better but the whole school girl outfit Agent Sarah Walker wears for work is absolutely ridic and this is coming from a guy. It doesn’t quite suit her. So Chuck gets kidnapped by some ruthless Mexican gang and the leader’s just about to kill him because he’s seen her face and Sarah and the strong-armed Agent John Casey rushes in resulting in a gunfight. The Mexican chick jumps out the balcony and escapes. Then sends a crack thug team to find Chuck at his work place the next morning. Meanwhile Chuck has a mountain of computers to fix at Buy More and he gets it done thanks to his team who gets most of it done the prev night and poor Morgan (Chuck’s friend) ends up getting locked up until Chuck finds him. Ok that sentence was horrible but you get the drift. Chuck’s nemesis at work Tang who’s the bald Asian dude with those gigantic eyebrows tries to get Chuck into trouble by pulling out a whole pack of empty beer cans but the boss ignores him. Then there’s a shitty karate hand-to-hand combat scene between the Mexican chick and Sarah. Horrible outfit again but Sarah wins. There’s a few funny scenes and then it’s the end of the show. Every episode can be treated like a new show so don’t worry if you miss one.

Score: 4/5

Journeyman – Boring. I hate the main character, Dan, and his iPhone. He ends up going back to SF to the same time era a few times and bumps into his hot ex Olivia who discovers he got married to his brother’s girlfriend, Katie. IDK. Then he cracks the glass of his watch somehow and his ex lets him borrow the watch he gave her a long time back when he used to date her. Back in the current time, his bro, Jack, tries to get back with Katie because Dan’s always time traveling. When Dan gets back, Katie finds the Olivia’s watch in his pockets. Uhoh Dan’s dead meat now. Unfortunately that’s all I can remember from the show. Maybe it ended that way. The only reason I watch it is cuz I am waiting for something exciting to happen throughout the episode but nothing really happens.

Score: 2/5

Bionic Woman – Another lamer. Well it’s actually starting to get better. Jamie Sommers has to babysit the daughter of some Canadian defense contractor and runs into Sarah Corvus who’s starting to have nerve control issues. Some doc visits her with needles filled with chemical compounds to soothe her nerves but it’s only a quick fix. Sarah teaches Jamie to “hack into her own system” and Jamie’s able to disable the GPS and online video feed that goes through her eyes. Kinda sick to know that ppl would be watching everything she saw. Shower, bathroom, etc etc. Then Sarah drugs Jamie’s little sister and threatens to kill her if Jamie didnt come along with her. Jamie knows that she’s going to be a lab-rat for testing if she follows Sarah and activates her GPS/video. Sarah runs away. There’s a definite direction in this show lacking in both Journeyman and Chuck but Chuck’s way more enjoyable to watch.

Score: 3.5/5

Life – Not a whole lot going on in this one. The main dude Detective Charlie Crew and his attractive half-mexican/half-persian sidekick, Det Dani, try to uncover the killer of some black dude’s wife. Crew and the killer come face to face with knives out. The killer goes out because of Crew’s conduct. Then Crew gets a local mechanic/thug to trick the killer into confessing and the show ends that way. But before we go anywhere, Crew’s Bentley gets accidentally crushed in the 2nd episode so he gets himself a new ride – pimped out Lumina as his regular dope cop ride. He pulls over the guy who married his ex-wife who divorced him after he went to prison under false charges. Then ejects the driver (husband) and makes out with is ex-wife. Kinda sad. His hot attorney Constance Griffiths shows up to work and you can see a tension between Dani and her. Seems like they both like him or something. There’s a whole lotta potential in this show.

Score: 4/5

Chuck should’ve taken top honors but for that stupid cat-fight scene in the end. It’s the most enjoyable but Life and Heroes have a lot of depth in em.
